… if one is touched by a piece of music, it is closely connected with that very world in which she/he lives, thus it is not a pure accident that she/he is moved. This is one of the reasons why this concert-record is so interesting: the scene is just the same medium where Szilárd Mezei grew up, where he gazed at the world, and where the omnipotent godness of music impregnated him for a life. The musicians play at home, and not only for those at home. The recognition shows through the atmosphere of the concert – without any artistic intention… (Béla Pataki)
